We started JEMM because we wanted to build differently — with a spirit of creativity, fairness, and joy. From day one, our goal has been simple: develop urban spaces that feel more human.
Origin Story
A Story of Friendship and City-Building. JEMM was founded in 2016 by four longtime friends — each with deep roots in Calgary and backgrounds in construction, real estate, and business. What started as a shared frustration with “business as usual” in development turned into a bold experiment in doing things better.
Today, we’re an independent developer focused on mixed-use, community-focused projects in Calgary’s most vibrant urban neighborhoods. We remain small by design — because small allows us to stay personal, hands-on, and values-driven.
