We started JEMM because we wanted to build differently — with a spirit of creativity, fairness, and joy. From day one, our goal has been simple: develop urban spaces that feel more human.
Origin Story
A Story of Friendship and City-Building. JEMM was founded in 2016 by five longtime friends — each with deep roots in Calgary and backgrounds in construction, real estate, and business. What started as a shared frustration with “business as usual” in development turned into a bold experiment in doing things better.
Today, we’re an independent developer focused on mixed-use, community-focused projects in Calgary’s most vibrant urban neighborhoods. We remain small by design — because small allows us to stay personal, hands-on, and values-driven.

EDAN LINDENBACH
Principal & CEO
Edan provides JEMM with leadership in land planning, project design & development, and stakeholder relations. His experience as an entrepreneur, landowner and developer includes the revitalization and densification of various asset classes in Calgary and the US. Edan’s passion for collaboration and innovation propel his desire for development. Edan is an avid outdoorsman who thinks hip-waders are fashionable, but his favorite hobby is spending time with his wife and young family.
MARTIN LANGLOIS
Principal, Operations and Business Development
Martin’s role encompasses construction, operations and business development. He has committed the last 30 + years to acquiring his construction and real estate development acumen and industry network from the most granular level. Before co-founding JEMM, Martin established the Luxe group of companies in Calgary and led the development of over 10 urban multi-family projects. In his spare time, you will likely find him challenging his creativity in the kitchen, spending quality time with his wife and friends, in nature or simply enjoying a good book in a cozy setting.
LESLEIGH RUSSELL, P. Eng
Principal, Projects and Construction
Lesleigh provides project and team leadership as JEMM’s sites transition from concept through to construction. Prior to joining JEMM, Lesleigh managed various asset class developments as a general contractor and then as project director for a Calgary-based, family owned developer. She has led institutional developments, commercial and tenant improvement projects, purpose built multi-family and planning for mixed-use developments within Calgary and surrounding areas. Lesleigh’s insight into the chemistry of urban communities, passion for vibrant, livable public areas and neighbourhoods is what drives her desire for development. Lesleigh’s favorite way to spend a day is in the outdoors with her family & friends or conjuring up something in the kitchen.
PAUL LAFLEUR
Head of Finance
Paul leads JEMM’s finance group and provides valued insight into business efficiency as well as long term financial planning. Prior to joining JEMM, Paul developed a broad skill set that includes project management, finance, and engineering. In addition to being a dedicated life-long learner, Paul loves to ski and scuba dive and spend time with his wife and their French bulldog, Gaston.
JOE OSINSKI
Principal
Joe supports JEMM’s leadership team with his entrepreneurial and legal background. His previous involvement with the construction industry includes work with a variety of small to mid-sized real estate developers and an executive and ownership role with a large construction trade contractor. Among Joe’s favourite pastimes is enjoying the great Canadian outdoors with friends and family.
MICHEAL BROADFOOT
Principal
Mike looks forward to JEMM’s creation of really well-designed multi-family buildings that help Calgary become an even more vibrant place to live. Mike supports the JEMM team with experience in helping establish and then grow companies across a number of sectors including energy, software, and medical devices. When not working, Mike may be found riding one of his many bicycles, exploring the world both near and afar with his wife and adult children.
ALEXIS MACKENZIE
Principal
Alexis supports JEMM through the leadership of communication and marketing activities. She has over 25 years of related experience in real estate markets across western Canada. Alexis is passionate about strong urban communities and is dedicated to creating meaningful connections between JEMM’s developments the people who will live in them. Alexis loves living and playing in urban Calgary, alongside her husband and young daughter.
